ABOUT ME

I'm a corporate director, leadership consultant, and passionate advocate for the Royal Canadian Navy. My career has been dedicated to fostering leadership excellence and supporting initiatives that strengthen our country's presence on the global stage.

With over three decades of experience in international trade and market development, I've held pivotal roles that advanced Canada's economic interests across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Notably, as Canada's Investment Advisor to Indonesia, I guided more than 50 Canadian firms in establishing a market presence in Southeast Asia, working across sectors such as oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, and manufacturing. My tenure as Vice-President of the Indonesia Canada Chamber of Commerce and my instrumental role in founding the Indonesia International Chamber of Commerce and the Foreign Investment Advisory Group to Indonesia underscore my commitment to fostering bilateral trade partnerships.

In the private sector, I established extensive manufacturing capacities with multiple partners for Palliser Canada in Central Java, overseeing the full supply chain from raw materials to finished products shipped to North America. My earlier roles with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and Industry Canada involved leading trade missions and environmental technology collaborations, fostering lasting business ties between Canadian enterprises and foreign governments.

After my tenure in Indonesia, I served as CEO of an environmental technology carbon capture start-up in Australia, leading patent protection efforts and researching potential markets for this unique technology. I've also participated in Team Canada Missions alongside the Canadian Prime Minister and Premiers, notably to several major cities in China.

Currently, I bring this wealth of experience to my roles in corporate governance and leadership consulting, offering guidance to corporations, governments, non-profits, and industry associations. As the Ship Sponsor for the future HMCS Preserver, I am honored to uphold a longstanding naval tradition, symbolizing the enduring bond between a ship and its sponsor. This role allows me to further support the men and women who serve our nation and to advocate for the vital work carried out by our Navy both at home and abroad.
